Caledonia Gladiators are gearing up for a crucial matchup against the Cardiff Met Archers on Saturday afternoon in our ‘Burns Bash’ game. The fixture is set to tip off at 3pm at Paisley’s Lagoon, and the Gladiators will be looking to continue their solid start to the WBBL Championship season.
Currently sitting at 5th in the league, the Gladiators have a strong 6-2 record and will be looking to be beneficiary to their home court advantage against the Archers who sit in 7th with a 3-6 record.
Met Archers have been led by Shannon Hatch who has so far averaged 19.6 points, 9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. She will be a force to be reckoned with, but the Gladiators will also have to keep an eye on Lauren Saiki and youngster Issy Bunyan who also have been supporting Hatch well throughout the season.
The Gladiators will look to counter with their own strong performers, as they have a well-rounded team that has been playing well together. The host’s defense will be key in this matchup, as they look to slow down the Archers high-powered offense.
