Caledonia Gladiators showcased a commanding performance against the Durham Palatinates, securing a decisive 98-71 victory. The game, marked by Caledonia’s offensive prowess and defensive tenacity, saw the Gladiators lead from start to finish, extending their advantage to as much as 40 points.

First Quarter: Gladiators Establish Early Lead

The Gladiators wasted no time setting the tone, with forward Maya Price opening the scoring with a turnaround jump shot. Caledonia’s defense stifled Durham’s offense, forcing turnovers and capitalizing on fast-break opportunities. Despite efforts from Durham’s Klassen and Lucas to keep the game close, Caledonia ended the first quarter with a 21-12 lead, thanks in part to McGarrachan’s crucial tip-ins and offensive rebounds.
