Caledonia Gladiators is set to welcome Matthew Ragsdale, as it announced the signing of the sharpshooting 6’5 guard to the roster for the 2025-26 season.
Born in Colorado Springs, Ragsdale joins the Gladiators following his first season pro with the Dresden Titians in Germany’s Pro A League, where he showcased his scoring ability with 11.7 points per game average, while shooting an impressive 42.2% from behind the arc.
Before turning pro, Ragsdale enjoyed a standout career at Black Hills State University and Western Colorado University, averaging 17.8 points per game. Known for his elite shooting touch, he recorded career highs of 22.5 points per game in his 2023-24 season and 44.4% from three in his freshman year at Western Colorado University in the 2019-2020 season.
Ragsdale’s collegiate accolades include First Team All-South-Central Region and All-RMAC First Team honours in 2023-24, along with over 1,000 career points at both Black Hills State University and Western Colorado University. He also made history by breaking Western Colorado’s single-game scoring record with a 53-point performance against Black Hills State University.
Matthew Ragsdale is set to add firepower to the Gladiators backcourt this season, with his scoring prowess, accuracy from deep and ability to deliver in high-pressure moments. We look forward to Ragsdale’s debut in Gladiator colours this September as we kick off the Super League Basketball 2025-26 season.
