Caledonia Gladiators are delighted to announce the signing of Maura Fitzpatrick, the versatile Irish-American forward from Manchester Basketball, ahead of the upcoming season.
Standing at 5’11”, Fitzpatrick brings both international experience and SLB knowledge to the Gladiators. Last season with Manchester Basketball, she averaged 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game, while shooting 40.7% from the field.
Fitzpatrick’s career has taken her across Europe, with spells at ASC Therasianum, Mainz, and Bamberg in Germany, as well as Wetterbygden in Sweden before arriving in the SLB. Prior to her professional career in Europe, Fitzpatrick enjoyed a strong collegiate career at Marist College, where she was known for her efforts on the defensive side of the ball, and was named the 2018 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year.
Known for her work ethic, defensive strength and ability to contribute across multiple areas of the game, Fitzpatrick will add depth, toughness and valuable experience to the Gladiators’ roster.
Gladiator fans can look forward to seeing Maura Fitzpatrick wearing a Gladiators jersey this season as she helps strengthen the team’s frontline ahead of what promises to be an exciting season at Playsport.
