BBL| GLADIATORS MAINTAIN HOME RECORD WITH HUGE WIN OVER PATRIOTS, 91-76

The Caledonia Gladiators have extended their wins at home record this season with a 91-76 win over the Plymouth City Patriots.

Jeremiah Bailey started the game off with a layup to give the Gladiators the opening lead.

David Sloan maintained his impressive standard this year as he kickstarted his game with a highly efficient opening quarter.

It was the Patriots who had the lead at the first break though as the scoreboard read 18-24 to the visitors after the first.

In the second quarter, Jordan Burns came into his element as he started to light up the Emirates Arena with huge three-point shots.

The Patriots managed to extend their lead by half time as Williams, Hawthorn and Dusha combined to rack up the points for Plymouth.

Throughout the third period, Bailey and Sloan led their side on the court in a determined fight to claw back the control of the game. Sloan even pulled off a dunk early in the quarter, which got the crowd on their feet.

Kyle Jimenez and Fraser Malcolm were also huge catalysts in Caledonia’s comeback as they headed into the fourth quarter behind by only a point.

Princeton Onwas gave the Gladiators a 65-64 lead in the fourth before Burns took the spotlight in the game as he dished out multiple clean three-pointers.

Bailey flexed his muscles with an electrifying dunk to put the Gladiators ahead by eight before Fraser Malcolm followed up with a dunk of his own.

The Caledonia Gladiators rounded off the scoring with a layup from Jeremiah Bailey to secure a third consecutive win and a fifth home win of the season.
