Gladiators are delighted to announce that we have completed our 2024/25 men’s roster by announcing the signing of Gladiator royalty Prince Onwas and fellow star of the 2023/24 season Ian Dubose!
Prince Onwas, a trophy winner with the club in 2023 returns for his third season.
Prince, who recently had baby Amera in Scotland with his Partner Zoe has been a defensive stalwart with the club over two seasons since joining from Coburg in Germany in 2022 following a stint in Spain, Australia, the G-League and the NCAA where he finished with San Jose University.
Ian Dubose, a standout player in the 2023/24 roster before his unfortunate season-ending injury in January returns to the team after six months of rehab and working out over the summer to get himself back to peak fitness.
Ian managed an impressive 14 points, 6 assists (2nd highest in the league) and 4 rebounds in the league last season and will be hoping to conclude some unfinished business this season as he marks his return.
He joined the club in 2023 after joining from Naestved from Denmark and previous to that had lined up for Geosan Kolin and Jindrichuv Hradec of the Czech league as well as Kirchheim Knights of the ProA after a successful NCAA career with Houston Baptist and Wake Forest
Coach Gareth Murray on returning Ian:
“Ian showed a great level of play last year until injuring his shoulder. Now he is back and healthy we are excited for him to return and bring another level on both ends of the court.”“Having worked with him for a year we have a good understanding of what to expect from each other. These relationships are key to building a successful team.”
“Prince has shown he can be an elite defender in this league, a glue guy for the club.“This will be his third year with us, the core of our team has been together for 2/3 years which helps build togetherness.”“We hope Prince can lead by example and help us reach another level this year.”

Prince and Ian are our final signings of the men’s team and join Fahro Alihodzic, Fraser Malcolm, Toto Fagbenle, Isaiah Hill, Kyle Jimenez, Trevond Barnes, Theo Hughes, Tanner Stuckman and Patrick Whelan in coach Murray’s squad.
