We are delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Burns!
Jordan who is from Jackson, Tennessee, most recently played for Twarde Pierniki Torún of the Polish Basketball League.
Jordan is a point guard who played for four years for the Colgate Raiders. During this time, he won the 2019 Patriot League Tournament Final, where he was named MVP and helped Colgate earn its first NCAA Tournament since 1996. He was also awarded Patriot League Player of the Year in 2021.
Since leaving College, Jordan has signed NBA G-League contracts with the Austin Spurs and Maine Celtics as well as a brief contact with the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs. He also has playing experience in Bulgaria and Canada.
While playing for the London Lightning in Canada he won the Canadian Regular Season Championship as well as the Playoffs.
Jordan averaged 15 points, 4.5 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game throughout college.
Gareth Murray is looking forward to working with Jordan despite Darian leaving;
“Losing Darian at this part of the season is difficult, he was a high character, hardworking team player. I wish him all the best.
Losing a player mid-season also allows you to add someone or something that was missing to the team.
In this case we have added Jordan Burns who has some experience in the G-league and in Europe already.
I will be looking for him to add some leadership and play making, while also being a threat all over the court.”
Jordan is looking forward to making his first appearance for the Caledonia Gladiators and meeting all the fans! Welcome Jordan at our next home game as we look to defeat the treble holders Leicester Riders once again this Wednesday! BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW!
