This week on Gladcast, Grant Young welcomed the men’s team manager, Mitchell Simpson, to discuss the start of the 23/24 British Basketball League season, beginning tonight with an away trip to Manchester Giants.
In the 40-minute special, the duo discussed their excitement for the new season to begin, with European competition on the horizon, previewing the elite competition the side is set to face. They also touched on the swift development of the arena over the summer, with the final facility being days away from completion.
The franchise has seen an entirely different off-season this summer, bringing in high-level internationals to the squads, and the teams heading to Belgium and Spain respectively for pre-season tours. Both squads are prepared to get started in what’s set to be a historic season once more domestically, and continentally.
