Caledonia Gladiators fell to an 83–70 defeat on the road against the Sheffield Hatters at the Canon Medical Arena after a closely contested battle across the first three quarters.

The Gladiators made a confident start, building a 10-point advantage within the opening five minutes. Tess Amundsen led the early scoring effort with nine first-quarter points, shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Brynn Masikewich, who scored seven points on perfect shooting from two-point range, helping the Gladiators keep their early lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Gladiators carried momentum into the second quarter to lead 45 -39 at halftime. The Gladiators were impressive from long range, shooting 53% (7-for-13) from three in the first half, with eight different players getting on the scoresheet in a strong team display. However, Sheffield found consistent success inside, outscoring the Gladiators 20–10 in the paint.
The Hatters came out of the break with renewed intensity, taking their first lead of the game early in the third quarter on their home court. The remainder of the period saw multiple lead changes as both sides increased the defensive pressure, with the score locked at 56–56 heading into the final ten minutes.

Sheffield struck first in the fourth and quickly built momentum, opening a six-point lead within the first few minutes. Although the Gladiators battled to stay within touching distance, the Hatters extended their advantage into double digits late on to secure the 83–70 victory.
A tight game between the top two teams of the SLBW saw the Sheffield Hatters come out on top but the Gladiators will refocus before they head to London to take on the Lions in a Copper Box Doubleheader on Wednesday, 4th of March.
