Caledonia Gladiators are thrilled to announce the signing of Tierra Hodges, a dynamic forward/guard who joins the club from SLB rivals Newcastle Eagles ahead of the upcoming season.
At 27 years old, Hodges brings an impressive resume to Caledonia. Standing at 5’9”, she proved herself as one of the league’s most consistent two-way players last season with Newcastle, averaging 19.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.1 steal per game, while shooting an outstanding 53.1% for the field, 39.3% from behind the arc and 90% from the free-throw line.
Before turning professional, Hodges starred at Furman University, where she spent 5 years. In her senior year at Furman, Hodges averaged a double-double with 18.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Her standout performances earned her multiple accolades, including:
- 2020-21 All-Southern Conference First Team (Coaches & Media)
- 2020-21 Southern Conference All-Tournament Second Team
- 2020-21 Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll
Known for her relentless energy, scoring efficiency and ability to impact both ends of the floor, Hodges will be a key addition to the Gladiators’ roster as the team looks to follow on from their success in the 2024-25 season.
