Caledonia Gladiators are delighted to announce the signings of LJ Bryan and Malcolm Delpeche for the remainder of the 2025–26 season, strengthening the club’s frontcourt depth as the team continues its campaign across domestic and European competition.
26-year-old forward/centre LJ Bryan joins the Gladiators from Czech NBL side BK Decin, where he averaged 5 points and 4.3 rebounds this season. The Maryland native previously competed in Portugal’s LPB with Galitos Barreiro, posting 10.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, and Vitoria Alves Guimaraes, following a collegiate career at Morehead State University. Standing at 6’9”, Bryan brings size, athleticism, and versatility to the Gladiators’ interior rotation.
Joining him is 30-year-old centre Malcolm Delpeche, who signs with the Gladiators after two seasons with the Newcastle Eagles. Delpeche averaged 5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks last year and arrives with a strong defensive pedigree, including being named NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year during his time at Bates College. The 6’8” American brings extensive BBL and European experience, including lifting the SLB Trophy and reaching both the SLB Playoff Final and ENBL Final during the 2024–25 campaign.
With changes to the men’s roster, the club has also confirmed that Drew Gordon has been released based on medical grounds.
Men’s Head Coach Jonny Bunyan commented: “Unfortunately we have had to release Drew but would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him all the best. This change has allowed us to recruit LJ and Malcolm and we’re all very excited about the immediate impact we believe they will have on court, with the energy and physical presence we need as the team pushes into the second half of the season.”
