Caledonia Gladiators is delighted to confirm the return of Kyle Jimenez for the 2025-26 season following his recent spell with Derby Trailblazers.
The 27-year-old from Edinburgh is well known to the Gladiator fans for his integral role claiming the Gladiators’ BBL Trophy in 2023, one of the most memorable moments in the club’s history. His experience in big game situations and proven ability to perform under pressure will once again be an asset as the team chases success under Head Coach Jonny Bunyan.
Jimenez’ basketball journey has also seen him play for the Nottingham Hoods and Derby Trailblazers, gaining valuable experiences across different levels of the British game. On the international stage, he has proudly represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games twice – at the 2018 Gold Coast Games in Australia and the 2022 Birmingham Game – showcasing his skills against some of the sport’s top competition.
His return is set to be welcome news to fans as a player who understands the club’s culture and the expectations of competing at the highest level. His combination of court vision, shooting ability and defensive awareness will be key as the team pushes for success in the upcoming season.
Jonny Bunyan, Head Coach, said:
“We’re all delighted to have Kyle back on the team. It’s always been special to have Scottish players representing our club, especially when they can stop on the court and impact games.
Kyle brings incredible energy to the team and we’re excited to see him back in a Gladiators jersey this season”
Fans will have the opportunity to see Jimenez back in Gladiators’ colours when the 2025-26 campaign launches next month. Season tickets can be secured now via FanBase with early bird discounts still available.
