Anticipation is building as the Caledonia Gladiators gear up for the 2024-25 season.

This Friday at 10 AM in Munich, Germany, the draw will determine the teams for the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season, which the Gladiators will join if they do not advance in the Champions League qualifiers.

Should the Gladiators not make it through the Champions League Qualifiers, they will compete in the FIBA Europe Cup’s Regular Season.

Competition Structure

The FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season will feature 40 teams divided into 10 groups of four. Fifteen clubs from top national federations will qualify directly, while the remaining spots will be filled by teams from the Champions League Qualifiers that do not advance.

  • Qualifiers: The Basketball Champions League Qualifiers take place before the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season.
  • Regular Season: Includes top-seeded clubs such as Anwil Wloclawek (POL), Cholet Basket (FRA), FC Porto (POR), and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg (GER) as well as Gladiators BCL opponents Oradea.

Note, Anwil Wloclawek played Gladiators in last season’s tournament and were defeated 66-63.

Should the Gladiators enter the FIBA Europe Cup, they are positioned in Seed 3 for the Regular Season draw. This comes after their strong performance last season and UK’s overall national league ranking.
