Caledonia Gladiators’ Patrick Tapé has been named in the BBL all-star five this week following his exceptional performance in the team’s recent win against Manchester Giants. The Exceed Footwear sponsored MVP award was also presented to Tapé after scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds on the night.
Tapé’s performance this week reflects his recent improvements over the past couple of months. He has been averaging 9.9 points, 12 rebounds and 1 assist per game in the BBL this season.
In addition to his impressive domestic form, Patrick has also been chosen to represent Ivory Coast on a couple of occasions this season. This is a further reflection of his growing reputation as a talented and hardworking player on the international stage.
Abbie Wolf
Caledonia Gladiators’ Abbie Wolf has been named in the WBBL all-star five for her impressive performance against Oaklands Wolves on Saturday. Wolf led her team to a commanding victory with an exceptional display, scoring 26 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
Wolf’s recent form has been consistently impressive, with an MVP performance against London Lions in a historical win in the Capital being a particular highlight. Her contributions to the team have been invaluable, and she has proven herself to be one of the most talented centers in the league.
She has grown incredibly under the guidance of Miguel Ortega, who has been leading the way from the sidelines this WBBL season. Both Wolf and Ortega have spent time in Spain, with Abbie moving from Barcelona in the summer.
