We are delighted to announce our fourth women’s signing of the season as Maya Price joins from EuroCup winners London Lions!
The 6ft2 forward from Suffolk grew up playing basketball at Ipswich Basketball Club from the age of 10 before making her WBBL debut with the Newcastle Eagles in 2018.
Maya then signed in the NCAA DII with Eckerd College for her senior year before transferring to the Lions in 2023-24, picking up the Trophy, League, EuroCup and Playoffs as well as being included in the WBBL All-Domestic players team.
A frequent inclusion in the GB U16, U18 and U20 squads and now the senior women’s squad, Maya has frequently pulled on the national jersey and represented her country proudly.
Coach Chantelle Handy said on the signing:
“Maya is a player we’ve been interested in for a while.”
“After a successful college career, she used her time in London to rehab and showed what she was capable of the second half of the season.”
“We’re looking forward to having another young British talent on our roster.”
