In a thrilling and WBBL championship fixture, the London Lions emerged victorious over the Caledonia Gladiators, winning by a final score of 60-79.
The match began with both teams trading baskets, but it was the Lions who got off to a hot start, with Katsiaryna Snytsina, leading the way with several impressive jump shots and layups. However, the Gladiators refused to be intimidated, with Erin Mcgarrachan hitting several key shots to keep the game close.
As the match wore on, the Lions began to pull away, thanks in large part to their tenacious defense and fast-paced offense. With Mikiah Herbert Harrigan continuing to enhance their performance on the court, the Lions were able to build a comfortable lead heading into the final quarter.
But the Gladiators were not ready to give up just yet. They kept going with all they had, consistently making big shots to keep the game close.,
In the end, it was the Lions’ balanced attack and unrelenting defence that proved to be the difference, as they clinched the WBBL championship.
