Caledonia Gladiators player/coach, Chantelle Handy has been in Manchester for the past week preparing for Great Britain’s upcoming fixtures against Estonia and Portugal, with the first fixture being played on Thursday 9th of February at the National Basketball Performance Centre.
Led by Head Coach Chema Buceta, the squad have been practicing hard during the week, working towards two must-win games in order to Qualify for EuroBasket.
Also, Handy took on her artistic ventures through her ‘Thank You Manchester’ customization of the team’s jerseys in collaboration with artist, Sasha Ray, to thank the city and Holiday Inn Manchester for their hospitality.
Prior to heading to camp, Chan said: “I’m excited, these games are huge for us. They’re two games that we need to get a win, and by as many points as we can against Portugal in order to qualify for EuroBasket this summer. We have a big challenge ahead of us.”
