As the Gladiators are gearing up to face Newcastle Eagles on Saturday in the British Basketball League at home, after a huge FIBA Europe Cup game away to Anwil on Wednesday, have a look back at the Gladiators’ start on their road to glory as they defeated the Tyneside squad 97-86 in the first round of the BBL Trophy, before eventually winning the competition vs Cheshire Phoenix.

Amongst a few other games, the Newcastle Eagles game at the Emirates Arena is highlighted in episode 4 of ‘Ballers: Ball or Nothing’, as a Jeremiah Bailey-led performance saw Caledonia Gladiators advance to the second round of the BBL Trophy, where they would face the giants of the London Lions. The American scored a whopping 31 points, to go along with 12 rebounds and six assists on the night, undoubtedly one of his best performances in a Gladiators jersey.

Current Gladiator, Kyle Johnson, was in action for the Eagles last season, and has got off to a hot start in Caledonia colours.
