Caledonia Gladiators brought their season to a close with an 82–91 defeat to the Bristol Flyers at Playsport on Friday night. The home side made a strong start, taking control early to lead 24–16 at the end of the first quarter, but the Flyers would refocus in the second quarter to come close the gap by half-time and take the 1-point lead after 20 minutes of action.

The Gladiators continued to battle and showed resilience down the stretch, but the Flyers executed key plays in the closing minutes to secure the win. The game would be a back and forth battle between the two teams in the final game of the SLB Championship. The Flyers would edge out the Gladiators in the third quarter, increasing their lead to 5 entering the final 10 minutes of the season.

While the result didn’t go the way they would have hoped, it marked the end of a season defined by hard work, commitment and growth from the Gladiators men’s squad. Every player who stepped onto the court this season has played their part, representing the club with pride and determination.
