This Sunday, Caledonia Gladiators are set to take on Manchester Giants, a 4th vs 5th clash, in a crucial game in the BBL Championship. Caledonia are looking to bounce back from their last loss away from home against table-toppers, London Lions, whilst Manchester look to build on their momentum after picking up a big time win over on-form Bristol Flyers.

Last time around, Gareth Murray’s side came out victorious against Vince Macaulay’s, winning 91-73 in February. But it was in year’s opening week that the North West side were victors, winning by one point due to a controversial goaltend decision in the last seconds.

The Gladiators have been led by the impressive performances of David Sloan and Jeremiah Bailey. Sloan is currently averaging 18.4 points and 5.1 assists per game, while Bailey is contributing 13.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. The duo has been a force to be reckoned with on the court and will be looking to continue their top play against the Giants after Friday’s away fixture to Sheffield – making up the league double-header.

Meanwhile, the Giants have been powered by the dynamic duo of high-flyers Tajh Green and Dirk Williams. Green, the American rookie, is averaging an impressive 19.2 points and 4.6 assists per game, while BBL veteran, Williams is contributing 15.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. The Gladiators will need to keep a close eye on these two top performers and try to limit their impact on the game.

Both teams have had an up-and-down season so far, with the Gladiators sitting in 5th place in the BBL standings with a 13-12 record, while the Giants are just one spot ahead of them at 14-11. This game could be crucial for both teams as they look to climb the standings and definitely secure a playoff spot.

Off the court, fans can expect a lively and entertaining atmosphere, with both teams bringing their best to the court. With some of the top performers in the BBL on display, fans are in for a treat as they watch these talented players battle it out. The Emirates Arena will be buzzing with energy as fans of both teams come together to witness what promises to be an exciting matchup.

Across the weekend, the teams play three games. The WBBL side face Oaklands Wolves in the south on Saturday, while the BBL side travel to Sheffield to play the Sharks on Friday before welcoming the Giants to town on Sunday.
