It was a victorious evening on the road for the Gladiators as they defeat the Sharks 77-68 in a pulsating fixture.

The Sharks would take an early lead in the game, but not without Fraser Malcolm stringing an impressive three from the corner. The Gladiators would then go on a 6-0 run thanks to points from Ali Fraser, David Sloan, Jordan Burns. Sheffield would come back into the game following a teardrop finish from Rodney Glasgow Jr. However, it was the Gladiators that would prove too powerful in the first half, with Patrick Tapé scoring two dunk finishes as the quarter ended 17-26 in favour of the Gladiators.

in the second quarter, Sharks open the scoring like they did in the first before back-to-back threes from Oscar Baldwin and Jordan Burns increased our advantage. Jordan Ratinho would answer back with a three of his own shortly after. Jordan Burns looks like he has settles into the BBL very quickly as he nets his third three-pointer of the game. The score stood at 53-34 at halftime. A highly efficient half from the Glads where they scored 7/10 from 3-point range.

In the third quarter it was clear the gladiators were still in their fighting groove, an smooth finish at the rim by Patrick Tapé was cancelled out by an excellent move by Glasgow Jr, as he crosses over Burns and scores with a high arcing shot. The Gladiators would however continue to show their dominance as they saw out the quarter leading 46-70, their biggest lead of the game.

Moving into the 4th quarter it was one to forget as they scored just 7 points in comparison to Sheffields 22. A late scare for the Glads but enough damage had been done in the previous three periods to claim a spot in the BBL Cup Semi-Final, away to Leicester.

Today’s MVP was Patrick Tapé who had a collection of emphatic dunks on the night, inspiring the Gladiators to a solid win.
