Double Victory for the Gladiators as Caledonia Men Conquer Manchester at Home

Playsport Arena, East Kilbride — Championship 2025–26

The Caledonia Gladiators Men claimed their first home win of the season with a hard-fought 74–62 triumph over Manchester Basketball, sealing a perfect day for the club as both Gladiators teams emerged victorious, with the Women taking down Manchester on the road earlier in the day.

From the opening whistle, the Gladiators played with grit and intent. Kevin Allen set the tone inside, battling for every board on his way to 9 points and 9 rebounds. Matthew Ragsdale was electric from deep, torching Manchester with 26 points, earning him today’s MVP award, while Ethan Wright and Ria’n Holland added 14 points apiece to keep Caledonia in control.

Defensively, the home side were relentless, holding Manchester to just 35%, 16% from 3 point range, shooting and winning the rebounding war 49–39. Every possession was contested, every loose ball a skirmish, as Jonny Bunyan’s squad fought to protect their home court. Their collective energy and togetherness shone through.

When the final buzzer sounded, Playsport erupted in celebration, the first home victory of the 2025-26 season wrapped in pride and passion. It was a night that belonged to the Gladiators, men and women alike, proving that Caledonia’s fighting spirit burns bright across both teams.

Next up, the Gladiators Men turn their focus to another clash on home soil, hosting the Sheffield Sharks onFriday, 7th November, as they look to turn one battle victory into the start of a winning streak.
