Gladiators Power Past Manchester in Road Victory

Caledonia Gladiators delivered an emphatic performance on the road, defeating Manchester Basketball 108–95 in a high-scoring Championship clash at the National Basketball Performance Centre.

From tip-off, it was clear the Gladiators came ready for battle. After a tightly contested opening quarter (20–24), The Gladiators began to find their rhythm in the second, with captain Tierra Hodges and Maura Fitzpatrick leading the charge. Their relentless attacking play and efficient ball movement helped the visitors build momentum and head into halftime with a slim advantage.

The third quarter proved to be the turning point, as Caledonia’s offense caught fire. The Gladiators poured in 23 points in the period, stretching their lead into double digits. Tierra Hodges continued her stellar form, finishing with 28 points, while Brynn Masikewich and Maura Fitzpatrick added fire power with 18 and 19 points respectively. Mathilde Domenger provided a huge spark off the bench, adding 24 points and 7 assist in a powerful display of depth and determination.

Caledonia’s defensive energy matched their scoring prowess — forcing 19 turnovers and racking up 12 steals, key factors in maintaining control as Manchester fought to close the gap late in the fourth.

By the final buzzer, the Gladiators’ balanced attack and composure secured their well-deserved win, improving their confidence as the season progresses.
