Caledonia Gladiators, Scotland’s only professional basketball franchise, is delighted to announce the signing of talented center, Clifton Moore, for his rookie professional season. Standing at an imposing 6’11”, Moore brings immense potential and versatility to the Gladiators’ frontcourt. Moore will play a part in the team’s British Basketball and Champions League adventures.

Hailing from Ambler, PA, Moore’s journey to the professional ranks has been nothing short of impressive. With a standout college career at Providence, he showcased his skills as a dominant force on both ends of the floor. Playing in a more limited role (13 minutes a game) in his senior campaign, he averaged 4.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. In comparison, he put up 12.9 PPG, 6.1 RPG and 1.2 APG in his third year with the Providence Friars on more minutes.

Coach Gareth Murray expressed his excitement about Moore’s addition, stating, “Clif is a first-year pro, who possesses the ideal skill set for my style of basketball. He excels in both the power forward and center positions, showcasing excellent hands, shooting range, good timing and mobility for shot-blocking and defending multiple positions. With Clif’s versatility and abilities, he has the potential to make a significant impact on the court.”

Moore, a former teammate of ex-Gladiator Aljami Durham, added: “The new facilities this year are something that just speaks to how invested the organization is. I can’t wait to play in Europe and grow with this team throughout the season. It’s a good opportunity to achieve great things and expand on last season’s success.”

Fans can expect a high-energy center who’s eager to prove himself on the professional stage and put on a show for Gladiators fans in the new PlaySport facility.
