Coming into tonight’s game Caledonia have had great form, winning four of their last five. Meanwhile The Patriots enter this game down on their luck currently, after a brutal 110-105 overtime loss to the Surrey Scorchers in the previous game week. In what seemed to be their second win of the season, Padiet Wang and the Surrey Scorchers brought them back from the brink to beat out the Patriots.

Former Gladiator , Tyrell Green opened the scoring for the City Patriots as he stringed a three on his first attempt. However it would be the Gladiators that would put their foot down and claim the first quarter with a 21-13 score. With Fahro Alhodizc scoring 6 points with Palyza and DuBose chipping in with a 3-pointer each.

Plymouth had a strong start to the second quarter cutting the first quarter down to just a few points, Mason Faulkner for the patriots led their team in scoring. The lead would trade between the teams before Palyza scored a big three to put some breathing space between the teams at halftime. Gladiators led the Patriots by 35-33. Both teams struggled to make their shots count.

The 3rd quarter was evenly matched through first 5 minutes, Plymouth found themselves in foul trouble but Caledonia failed to make the most of their offensive efforts. Jacob Wiley capitalised by scoring a neat lay-up followed by a powerful dunk to put the Patriots up by three with three and a half minutes to go in the quarter. Late on Trent and Whelan scored from range ending the quarter 54-58 in Caledonia’s favour.

Heading into the final quarter, Plymouth remained spirited but where eventually downed by the Gladiators. Plymouth had two players foul out in Atwood and Faulkner. The Gladiators ended up taking a hard fought 10-point victory with a final score of 82-72.
