Scotland’s only professional basketball franchise, Caledonia Gladiators will be visiting our partners, the University of West of Scotland’s Freshers Fayre tomorrow, Monday, 4th September, at their Lanarkshire campus in Hamilton.
We’re giving new students and attendees the opportunity to become some of the first people to visit our brand-new arena for a pre-season friendly game with our professional women’s team, in late September (further details including date and opponents TBC).
Caledonia Gladiators, including players, will be along between 10:30 AM and 3 PM, attendees will be able to play basketball and spin a wheel for prizes. As well as this, they can learn more about the ongoings around the club, with a huge season ahead for both of our professional sides.
During the day, the event will include a DJ from 10 AM, as well as learn more about their academic societies, and the overall UWS experience.
The franchise, heading into its first campaign in Europe, will be moving to PlaySport in East Kilbride, which is just a ten-minute drive from the campus. Now, with Fanbase as a ticketing partner of the club, the purchase of individual tickets and club memberships is easier than ever!
