Caledonia Gladiators opened our 2023/24 trophy defence campaign at home to Cheshire Phoenix in a replay of the 2023 final. In a game that had everything, Cheshire took the win in overtime.
Caledonia then made the long trip down to Plymouth to face the City Patriots. Plymouth who are struggling in the league, were able to see off the Gladiators leaving the defending champions with two losses from two.
