Hailing from Scarborough, Ontario, Kyle Johnson is an experienced professional showcasing his ability to shine both as an individual player and as a team player.
Kyle Johnson recently played for BBL opponents, Newcastle Eagles in the 2022-23 season where he averaged 15.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2 assists per game. Kyle comes with vast experience winning the Canadian NBL Championship on two occasions (2017/18) and winning the Icelandic Super Cup (2019) and Icelandic Cup (2020).
Johnson has been a part of the Great Britain national basketball team since 2011 and he has played in many competitions for the team, most notably the London 2012 Olympics and the 2011 EuroBasket, 2013 EuroBasket, 2017 EuroBasket Championships.
Head Coach Gareth Murray said, “Kyle brings with him experience in various leagues, along with 80+ caps for GB, playing in the 2012 Olympics and multiple EuroBasket’s throughout his career. Last year being his first in the BBL, he proved he is a valuable player in this league leading all British players in scoring. For me the biggest thing Kyle brings is his attitude and work ethic, he’s a proper pro, takes care of his body and is a great teammate.
Having played with Kyle over the years he is the perfect addition to help this team be successful.”
