Rounding up the SLB awards season, Annie Warren and Mathilde Domenger have each been recognised for their second SLB Molten award of the 2026-26 season.
Following her placing last week in the All-Defensive Team award, Annie Warren, sponsored by Proximo 3, secures a second achievement for her performance improvement across the 2025-26 season as the league’s Most Improved Player.
Head Coach Chantelle Handy said “This couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person, let alone player. Annie has made a huge impact on the team this season, truly showcasing her skill set. She’s stepped up as a leader at point guard while also proving herself as a consistent scoring threat. I’m so happy for her – this is well deserved, and she’s absolutely earned it.”
Also on her second placing of the season, Mathilde Domenger, sponsored by The Argyll Group, has achieved the Molten ‘6th Player of the Year’ for her outstanding contribution to the Gladiator’s success. Mathilde’s defensive presence and energy has allowed her to have huge impact each time she’s stepped onto the court this season.
Reflecting on the award, Mathilde said “I am very honoured to receive the Molten Sixth Player of the Year award. This is a role I discovered this year – a different one, but also an extremely rewarding one. I’m especially grateful to have built a strong relationship of trust with my coach, which allowed us to explore all possibilities and make the most of what I could bring to the team.
“It’s in this role that I felt the most effective, and above all the most useful. I’m really happy to have contributed energy and impact off the bench, and to have discovered a new side of my game. Thank you to my team for the trust and support.”
We are looking forward to seeing the women take to the court this Sunday 17th May at London’s O2 for the SLB Playoff Final, against Sheffield Hatters.
