Caledonia Gladiators feature in three league games in the British Basketball League this week. As the regular season nears the end of the 2023/24 campaign, both men’s and women’s teams are looking to secure the highest spot possible in the league table.
The men currently sit level on points with Cheshire however the Phoenix have a game in hand over the Gladiators which puts them in second. The men’s team face Sheffield Sharks away from home in front of the SkySports cameras. Sheffield currently sits 5th in the league table with them also winning 4 of their last 5 fixtures, only falling to Leicester Riders at home.
Following that, the men will play at home in East Kilbride where Plymouth City Patriots will make the long trip. the Patriots currently lie bottom of the league table and have been eliminated from Playoff contention. However, they won’t go down without a fight and that is exactly what we expect to see this Sunday under the Playsport lights.
Plymouth City Patriots have defeated Caledonia Gladiators in our last two meetings, both of which took place at the Plymouth Pavillions. Gladiators will be looking to change this run and earn two valuable points in the chase for second.
