Last February saw the Gladiators’ biggest win of the Women’s British Basketball League season as the side faced London Lions in the second of two games in a double-header weekend road trip, the first game seeing them defeated by Leicester Riders in the Trophy – being knocked out of the competition.

Miguel Ortega’s side won 67-68 after a Chantelle Handy pair of free throws to seal the game, which the Lions fought back into after Gladiators’ huge opening quarter lead.
