In a highly anticipated game between the Caledonia Gladiators and the Newcastle Eagles, the visiting team took an early lead, dominating the first three quarters of the game. However, in the final quarter, the Newcastle Eagles came back with a vengeance, ultimately claiming the victory with a final score of 88-78.

The Caledonia Gladiators came out of the gate strong, setting the tone early on with their aggressive play and strong defense. They were able to maintain a comfortable lead for the majority of the game, with Aljami Durham putting up an impressive performance, scoring 24 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.

The Newcastle Eagles, however, refused to give up, and they slowly began to chip away at the Gladiators’ lead as the game went on. In the final quarter, the Eagles turned up the intensity and started to make their shots, closing the gap between the two teams. With just a few minutes left in the game, the Eagles managed to tie the score.

The tension in the arena was palpable as the game went down to the wire. Ben Mockford made a number of threes to put his team ahead, ultimately sealing their victory. The Caledonia Gladiators fought until the very end, but unfortunately, it was not enough to overcome the Eagles’ late surge.

Despite the loss, the Gladiators can hold their heads high, knowing that they can claim 4th place this Sunday against the Surrey Scorchers and will also seek revenge next Thursday as they meet the Eagles once again.
