We are delighted to announce that we have welcomed two new signings to the club: Toto Fagbenle and Isaiah Hill!

Totonitoluwa Fagbenle is a 23-year-old 6ft 9 British forward from London and has signed a 2-year contract with the club with the option of an additional season. This is his first professional contract after playing for two years in the NCAA with Morgan State University and Coppin State University.

British fans have been able to see a good amount of him recently as he was with the GB U23 3×3 squads in Hungary and Poland in the summer as well as wowing audiences at the annual Hoopfix pro-am being described as a “human highlight reel”. Fans of the women’s game will also recognise the name as his sister Temi won the Eurocup with the London Lions last season.

Isaiah Hill is a 23-year-old 6-foot Point Guard from Bakersfield, California. First bursting on the scene at Liberty High School where he set a 26ppg average and recorded the school record points total at his time there.

Making his debut in the NCAA for the University of Tulsa in 2019, the freshman moved to Fresno State for his second year where he stayed for four successful years with the Bulldogs. Isaiah played significant minutes his entire time with the team, never averaging less than 10 points a game for any season he was there. In his super senior year he averaged 12ppg, 4 RPG, 6apg and 1.4 spg – an impressive stat line on all accounts. He also was co-champion of the AAC in 2020 and got an ALL MWC Honorable Mention in 2023.

Coach Gareth Murray said on the signings:

Toto Fagbenle, a talented young prospect, showcases athleticism and versatility on the court. With our support, we aim to help him refine his skills and reach new heights in his basketball career.

Isaiah Hill has been a key player for four years at Fresno State University. One of his standout qualities is his ability to distribute the ball effectively, ensuring that his teammates are involved in the game. He consistently demonstrates a keen understanding of the game, making intelligent decisions that benefit his team. Alongside his playmaking skills, Isaiah possesses the ability for scoring when the opportunity arises.

The players sent the following across to introduce themselves to the Gladiator fans:

Both players are available for player sponsorship. If you are interested, please email pippa@caledoniagladiators.com after viewing our SPONSORSHIP BROCHURE.

Toto and Isaiah are our sixth and seventh signings on our men’s team and join existing players Fahro Alihodzic, Fraser Malcolm, Kyle Jimenez, Trevond Barnes and Patrick Whelan in coach Murray’s squad.
