Following the impressive play-off quarter final victory over Cardiff Met Archers this weekend, two Gladiators have been awarded with a place in this week’s WBBL all-star five, Jamila Thompson, and Téa Adams, for their dominant outings in the win.
On Sunday, Jamila Thompson had a huge 15 point and 15 rebound double-double, also contributing an assist and a block in what was probably her best game of the season so far. Her 77% FG and a block proved crucial, and stopped the Archers from progressing to the semi-finals.
Téa Adams put on a clinic once again, with her 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, in what has become usual for the American guard in recent weeks. She also contributed solidly on the defensive end, with two steals and two blocks to her name.
Next up for Jam, Téa, and the rest of the squad squad, they welcome Leicester Riders to the Emirates Arena for the playoff semi-final showdown with Leicester Riders this Sunday at 5PM!
