Caledonia Gladiators’ men’s and women’s teams both picked up a win each on the road against Nottingham Wildcats and London Lions respectively in two huge domestic fixtures.

First, Miguel Ortega and his side travelled to face the winless Nottingham Wildcats in a game that would see High Performance Programme player, Alix McIntosh, pick up her first professional points, as she put up a strong debut, and the Gladiators would come out eventual 47-94 comfortable victors. The following day, Gareth Murray’s side travelled to the capital, facing the table-topping London Lions in a game that, after Jordan Taylor forced overtime for the hosts, would see Gladiators come out with a huge 94-100 victory backed by impressive play from Trent Buttrick, Patrick Whelan and Lukas Palyza in the final minutes.
